On four Saturdays during the year we set aside a time to canvas a vast amount of houses with the gospel and church information.  This has proven to be very successful and encourages members to become more involved in soulwinning.  Let me just highlight a few guidelines we use.

1. Promote for many weeks.
2. We begin at 9:30 AM with a short challenge and instruction and return back at 12:00 Noon.
3. A general goal is set for the number houses reached.  (Usually 2000 – 2500)
4. Use sharp, neatly printed material.  (See below.)
5. The streets are mapped out in advance with individual map sheets for the leader of each group with his area highlighted.  (Their “pick up” spot is also noted.)
6. We board on church buses.  Although some drive on their own, nothing gets attention like a church bus.
7. We encourage all ages to be involved.  I say, “If you can walk, this is for you.”
8. On warm days, we provide bottles of water as needed. 
9. Give the people a report the next Sunday about what was accomplished.
10. This special outreach is never done in place of our regular weekly soulwinning program but rather complements what is being done regularly.
